Tippmann US army
« on: February 01, 2010, 01:35:55 PM »
does anyone out there like the alpha black line? i have a Project Salvo with a cyclone feed system and a bunch of other little upgrades. a 16" barrel, a tactical sling, green dot (easier to see in the light than red) with 1" riser. and just recenly I put a tactical flashlight on it. i love it but alot of people said it wasnt worth the money. i disagree, but do any of you?

yeah i love my gun. the weight doesnt bother me because i put an m16 sling on it (from my dads REAL m16 which is cool cause it adds authenticity). with the sling on, i dont have to carry it, it just hangs on me til i need to shoot. its perfect for me cause i like the realistic feel.

yes i like it a lot i am trying to sell my 98 to get the alpha black. i have never used it but i like it becasue it has a great mil sim look for not much money, to get my 98 to look like that i would need to spend quite a bit of $$.

i just bought the us army alpha black tactical edition, and got the view loader force feed loader also and it is one of the best markers i bought, i got that and 500 XBALL paintball's for $210, i think it is well worth the money and is really accurate, plus u gotta love the 4 point position stock. im looking forward to bringing it to BEL and try it out. soon im getting the alpha black E-GRIP that has 3 round burst, and 2 fully auto levels.

My first gun was a Alpha Black tactical edition. I upgraded it with a Cyclone loader and a e-grip trigger. The e-grip was neat in that the 3-round burst did not have a two pull safety on it (unlike my A-5). Unfortunately the full auto settings were two pull safety then hold. But working the trigger on 3-round burst you didn't need a full auto. As long as you kept pulling the trigger mutiple balls kept flying out. After shooting semi-auto for so long when I got that e-grip I felt like I could hold my own against full autos. Bunker tags were now a option on getting someone out. Man was that gun fun! Like an old favorite dog, sometimes I miss my Alpha Black.

Now taking it apart to clean it with all those little pins, well......

I stand on the shoulders of those that came before me that answered the call to defend freedom. Their warrior spirit flows through my veins. I am nothing without the honor, valor, duty, and sacrifice they made on behalf of their country. When I step on the field I fight to honor them....

i probably wont ever switch my gun...until it breaks beyond repair. since the Project Salvo is such an easily upgraded gun, i can just keep upgrading when i need to. i was thinking about the e-grip, but i dont know yet. is it worth it?

You'll just need to add a cyclone if you go with the e-grip.E-grip is a great upgrade for the salvo. You'll love being able to sling as much paint back at the folks who are thowing it at you.Just make sure your battery is fresh before you go into a game as you will not be able to change it on the field. You have to take the left hand grip off to do it.

i'll agree with the cyclone and the battery because you'll need the cyclone to keep up with the e grip. And you dont want your battery to go dead in the middle of a fire fight that sucks.

They're a bit easier on any fragile paintballs.

the difference?

untold frustration

its like this ... one is pure evil and will cause you endless amounts of frustration and anger ... the other is like having a night with Kate Beckinsale all alone

needless to say its worth $20

in all seriousness ... for the month and a half i used my a5 on full auto with stock paddles i broke at least 7-8 balls every weekend ... in the month since i bought mine ... i haven't broke a single ball

haha well then i will get the squishy ones before i get the egrip. but what about regular battery powered hoppers? my friend has the alpha black tactical with an electric viewloader and it doesnt have squishy paddels. do you think he should get them before the egrip too? do they even make squishy ones for that?

btw, sorry i hammer you guys with so many questions all the time lol
