You can buy an A5 + new style Egrip for $280
Hopper $10
Squishy Paddle $20
Polished Internals = $0 ?

The above is new prices...so I'd say $250 2nd hand.

Anyone else ?

woodwuss is right on it for retail price ... but as far as worth ... i think england is right at about 250

polished internals are a nice upgrade but it makes people nervous when buying a gun because they dont know if they can trust you not to have screwed it up

I don't know. I just just want to have the option before I get 400+ into this gun or get a gun that I trying to get the a5 to operate like.

You're doing the right thing by considering it now. They'll be a plateau you'll reach with the A5 eventually...and then you'll long for a better more accurate marker.

I don't think I want to do anything else with mine, I'm kind of at that point. Many people love their EGO's and they are incredible pieces of hardware and electronics.

All I'm concerned about at the moment is air usage...so I'm looking closely at the Phenom as I want to keep the MilSim look...and possibly still use some of my existing hardware.

there comes a point where you have to ask yourself if the next step is going to make a difference

to me, the a5 does everything i want it to do ... having a better gun wouldnt make me a better player ... the a5 is accurate enough for me and i never have problem breaking paint or anything like that ... my 90 4500 ninja tank keeps me full of air pretty much all day ... and i can make my a5 look like anything i want it to

i do want to get a speedball gun though ... but more just to try it out ... i honestly dont think im good enough to be a better player by having a phenom or anything else ... but thats a decision everyone has to make

if you do decide to get rid of it though im sure you wont have a problem ... its a nice setup

Yeah I don't think I would have problem getting rid of it. It basically the first upgrades that people get for the A5.

I already asked someone at school if they wanted to buy it and they said, maybe. (Recent Birthday)

Come to the Dark Side Shuler...........it's fun over here. Electros are the way to go as far as i am concerned. But if you decide to buy one ask around because not everyone loves an EGO but, then again not everyone has shot one either!

I used someones ion sunday and that time I used a "speedball" gun and I liked it. I also used more ammo using the semi auto ion compared to my full auto a5 in a game.

I looked at the ion xe, but techpb did a upgrade show on it and it equaled up to $1000. But I don't think I need all of them.

But what would be a good gun $200 to $350 range, i would go higher but remember  I don't have a hopper so can't go that high.

Well man your gonna have to buy a speed loader if you are wanting an electro, there's no way around it. So you might as well factor that in. You can get good deals on Ebay. That's where i bought my marker and it was flawless. It was around $445 with a Virtue board including shipping.

Used markers? Not sure. If i come down Sat i will let you shoot mine and you can see if you like the Planet Eclipse or not. Don't waste your money on a ion. Get a Dye or even the Eteks. This past Sat i was around more Eclipse markers than i ever seen.
